You’ll start with a night in downtown Vancouver, soaking up the city’s buzzing atmosphere before hitting the road. Along the way, you’ll wind through Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper, travel the Icefields Parkway, and explore Wells Gray Provincial Park—home to stunning waterfalls and wildlife, including bears and moose.
With lakeside campgrounds, mountain passes, and iconic national parks, this road trip is packed with adventure, relaxation, and epic scenery. Whether you’re cruising through wine country, taking a gondola high above the Rockies, or spotting bears on a river safari, every day brings a new experience.

  • Day 1: Vancouver

    Welcome to Vancouver, one of the most breathtaking cities in the world! Before you hit the road, take some time to explore Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown, and the stunning waterfront. With its mix of mountains, ocean, and vibrant city life, Vancouver is the perfect starting point for your adventure.
    ⭐ Must-Do:
    Stroll along Stanley Park’s Seawall and visit the totem poles.
    Ride to the top of Harbour Centre for panoramic views.
    Take the ferry to Granville Island for great food and local markets.

  • Day 2: Collect Motorhome - Burnaby

    After breakfast, collect your motorhome and start your journey! Your first stop is Burnaby Cariboo RV Park, one of the best-rated campsites in BC, just outside Vancouver.
    🚐 Drive: 15 miles to Burnaby
    ⭐ Must-Do: If you didn’t have time yesterday, take a trip to the Capilano Suspension Bridge or ride the Grouse Mountain Skyride for epic views.
    📍 Stay at: Burnaby Cariboo RV Park

  • Day 3/4: Into the Okanagan Valley: Vineyards and Lakeside Bliss

    Time to hit the open road! You’ll follow the Trans-Canada Highway into the heart of the Okanagan Valley, famous for its rolling vineyards, crystal-clear lakes, and epic landscapes. If you fancy breaking up the journey, stop at Harrison Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.
    🚐 Drive: 210 miles to Okanagan
    ⭐ Must-Do: Explore Othello-Quintette Tunnels near Hope—a remarkable series of railway tunnels carved through the cliffs. Or, take the Hell’s Gate Airtram for breathtaking views over the Fraser River.

  • Day 5: Okanagan Valley to Revelstoke

    Today’s drive is shorter, giving you more time to enjoy the scenery. As you travel through the Monashee Mountains, you’ll pass Salmon Arm, the gateway to Shuswap Lake, a paradise for nature lovers.
    🚐 Drive: 145 miles to Revelstoke
    ⭐ Must-Do: Stop at a few more vineyards, or explore the stunning mountain town of Revelstoke, surrounded by two spectacular national parks.

  • Day 6/7: Banff and Lake Louise: Canada’s Crown Jewels

    A spectacular drive takes you deep into the Canadian Rockies. You’ll stay near Lake Louise, one of the most photographed places in the world, with its turquoise waters and breathtaking mountain backdrop.
    🚐 Drive: 145 miles to Lake Louise
    ⭐ Must-Do: Drive the Bow Valley Parkway, a quieter alternative to the main highway, packed with scenic stops and wildlife spotting opportunities. Take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain, then soak in the Banff Hot Springs.
    📍 Stay at: Lake Louise Park Campground

  • Day 8/9: Icefields Parkway to Jasper

    This is one of the world’s greatest drives. The Icefields Parkway winds through towering peaks, past waterfalls, glaciers, and lakes so blue they look unreal.
    🚐 Drive: 210 miles to Jasper via Banff
    ⭐ Must-Do: Walk on the Athabasca Glacier or take an Ice Explorer tour. While in Jasper, hop on the Maligne Lake Cruise to see Spirit Island, one of Canada’s most iconic sights.
    📍 Stay at: Jasper National Park Campground or Hinton KOA

  • Day 10: Jasper to Clearwater

    Time to head west through Wells Gray Provincial Park, known for its rugged wilderness and spectacular waterfalls. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a bear along the way!
    🚐 Drive: 200 miles to Clearwater
    ⭐ Must-Do: Stop in Blue River for a River Safari—one of the best places to see wild bears up close in their natural habitat.
    📍 Stay at: Helmcken Falls Lodge and RV Park – a small, peaceful campsite right on the edge of Wells Gray Provincial Park.

  • Day 11/12: Clearwater to Whistler

    Take the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler, one of Canada’s most exciting mountain towns. The drive is absolutely spectacular, with plenty of stunning stops along the way.
    🚐 Drive: 285 miles to Whistler
    ⭐ Must-Do:
    Brandywine Falls – A short, easy hike leads to this stunning waterfall.
    Peak 2 Peak Gondola – Ride between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains for breathtaking panoramic views.
    Lost Lake – Perfect for a relaxing swim or paddleboarding.
    Whistler Village – Stroll through the charming pedestrian-only village filled with shops, restaurants, and a lively atmosphere.
    📍 Stay at: Riverside Resort RV Park – A fantastic campsite with easy access to Whistler Village.

  • Day 13: Whistler to Burnaby

    Your final drive takes you back down the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Burnaby, where you’ll spend one last night before returning your motorhome. This gives you a chance to soak up a little more of Vancouver before heading home.
    🚐 Drive: 75 miles to Burnaby
    ⭐ Must-Do: Stop at Shannon Falls and the Sea to Sky Gondola for one last epic view. If you didn’t get a chance earlier, now’s your time to explore Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, or grab dinner at Granville Island.

  • Day 14: Tour Ends

    All good things must come to an end! It’s just a short 15-mile drive back to the Cruise Canada rental depot to drop off your motorhome before catching your flight home—hopefully with incredible memories and thousands of photos from your Canadian road trip.
